CASA MAKTUB

maktub - it is written

A place for women who want to forget the world around them for a moment and remember themselves .

Don't let it get you down.
Be bold, wild, and wonderful.

- Astrid Lindgren

Perhaps the world doesn't need more rules. Perhaps it needs more people who dream barefoot!

Do you know that feeling? This is how people pleasing manifests itself in your everyday life.

  • He rarely gets in touch, and you realize that this sporadic contact isn't enough for you. Despite this, you say nothing and adapt to his rhythm – out of fear of losing the connection entirely if you show that you'd like more contact or to see him more often.

  • A new client keeps demanding more and more than you agreed upon or offered. You've long since realized you no longer want this collaboration. Nevertheless, you convince yourself you have to make it work somehow – and continue, fearing you'll lose the client and the money.

  • Someone is imitating you: the person is mimicking your voice or one of your movements. You immediately realize that it hurts you, but you laugh along – out of fear of appearing sensitive or a spoilsport if you say that it bothers you and that you don't actually want it.

  • Your colleague constantly talks to herself, treats customers and colleagues badly, and creates constant tension in the office. You say nothing, try to ignore her, and just let it all wash over you each day. Secretly, you're relieved when she's sick or absent.

  • You pick up a used piece of furniture and only realize how heavy it is once you're there. Instead of asking someone for help, you desperately try to lug it up the stairs yourself – because you don't want to bother anyone.

People pleasing isn't just about saying yes when you mean no. It's also about not asking for help, downplaying your needs, avoiding conflict, or questioning yourself after someone else has crossed your boundaries.

Dein individueller Retreat-Prozess

Tagesabschluss – Gemeinsamer Check-out

*Notes:

This weekly schedule is just an example to give you an idea of what your time at Casa Maktub might look like. The individual days and activities may vary. We will discuss your needs and the focus of your stay in person beforehand to develop a customized plan for your time here.

A prerequisite for your stay is that we are already working together or integrating your visit into an existing process. In this case, at least two sessions before your stay and two sessions afterward are mandatory. This allows us to properly prepare for your time at Casa Maktub and then integrate your experiences together.

Casa Maktub is truly a place full of magic .

I was lucky enough to spend a week in this wonderful place – a week that gave me the rest and relaxation I had been longing for.
During this time, I felt deeply connected to myself and my emotions, always seen, safe, and secure. Sandra creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere through her one-on-one retreats, where I immediately felt at home and my nervous system was truly able to relax. Thank you so much, dear Sandra, and also Benno, for your heartfelt, gentle, authentic, and loving care. Casa Maktub is truly a magical place.
